Our 5th Annual Soar Above fundraiser will be our first ever non-event, a virtual fundraising day in conjunction with the release of the 20th Anniversary edition of our Annual Homicide Report and as a gateway to Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. We invite you to stay home & support our work - because in 2020, the best way to show up is to stay home.

2020 has been one of the hardest years in recent history. The pandemic has highlighted the challenges domestic abuse victims and survivors face each day. Safer at Home mandates across the nation sparked an increase in domestic abuse incidents, due to loss of income, isolation, and being in an enclosed space with an abusive partner.

These stressors, exacerbated by the spread of COVID-19, put victims and their children at a higher risk of being murdered by their abusers. A May 2020 report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on the spike in homicides in Milwaukee linked nearly half of them to domestic or family violence. There is a direct correlation between the pandemic and an increase in domestic violence. Victims across WI need your help.

End Abuse has been tracking domestic violence homicides for the last 20 years. Our Homicide Reports paint a grim picture of the ultimate price victims and their families pay as a result of domestic abuse. Together, we can effectuate a lasting transformation that will positively impact victims, survivors, and the families of homicide victims, and – most importantly – prevent future homicides.

By registering and providing a donation in place of attending an in-person gala, you'll join us in honoring those who have lost their lives to domestic abuse, the bravery of their families, and the incredible advocates across WI who support victims and survivors and assist in preventing violence.

Register here to support survivors & submit your gift.

What to expect when I register for Soar Above at Home

By registering for our non-event gala, you’ll choose your donation amount to support survivors and be added to a list of statewide supporters who will be among the first to receive our 20th Anniversary edition of our Annual Homicide Report, which - in addition to honoring the lives lost in 2019 to domestic violence homicide - examines trends and identifies what our state needs to focus on in order to end domestic abuse in Wisconsin. Via your registration and financial support, you express your commitment to the safety and dignity of all.

On September 22, we’ll share important information via social media, our website, and email about domestic violence in our state as advocates around WI work to ensure safety for all survivors. You'll get the info you need to help spread awareness and help those most in need throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.

Gracious Donations and Sponsorships will Support
