We are delighted to share with you a new program designed to walk with our widowed community through all of the end-of-year rituals, holidays, and experiences that are a traditional part of ending one year and beginning a new one. The current global climate is likely to add to the already significant challenges our widowed community faces of missing our people during the winter months and the assortment of holidays and traditions that accompany this time of year.
Your Soaring Spirits family has designed a unique eighteen week program which will include a theme for each week, video descriptions of the ritual or tradition being acknowledged created by one of your widowed community members, a hosted weekly Zoom event relating to the theme we are exploring, weekly entertainment, traditional recipes, and of course our Holiday Hope tips for making our way through the end of 2020 (and the beginning of 2021 with intention in the company of our widowed community). We are super excited to be recognizing and exploring a huge variety of traditions and customs, beginning with celebrating the tradition of welcoming sweetness into the year ahead during Rosh Hashanah, and ending with ushering in the New Year of 2021 with intention. We will include themes associated with the Fall Equinox, Yom Kippur, Canadian and US Thanksgiving, Veteran’s Day, Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, Chanukah, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and we are even throwing in Festivus for a bit of fun! Our intention is to support YOU through the holidays and rituals during which you may be especially missing your person, and during a time when you may not have access to your usual avenues of support and encouragement.
Registration is open now, FREE of charge, and available to anyone who would benefit from this type of support. Feel free to share this event with your friends and families - we would love to encourage and uplift as many people as possible with this inclusive, meaningful, community event.
