Call for Presenters OSTC 2021
Call for Presenters OSTC 2021
Oregon Statewide Transition Conference

THIS EVENT IS 100% FREE!

OSTC 2021 March 31st - April 7th

Call for Presenter Applications, Open From November 16th - January 15th

Submit Your Application to Present

Call for presentation submissions are invited that address one of the five strands: Education, Employment, Independent Living, Wellness and Equity

Presentations should provide information related to:

  • Supporting transition aged youth
  • How your presentation aligns with the topical strand you indicated
  • Clearly defined learning objectives, and a description of practical knowledge or strategies that participants would learn
  • How your presentation engages participants in the current climate (COVID, Virtual Learning, Equity, Stress Fatigue, ect.)

*See full presentation rubric for OSTC virtual 2021 at bottom of page

Virtual conference considerations:

  • Presentations will be provided both synchronous (live with in person attendees) and asynchronous (pre-recorded, or recorded live sessions shared during a later time at the conference)
  • What this means: if you have a session that is pre-recorded that is fine, if you are offering an in person session that is fine as well. Our goal is to try and offer as many presentations as possible to all attendees. This means that if you present a ‘synchronous’ session you may be asked if it can be recorded and shared as an asynchronous option during a later time in the conference.
  • Limited number of session presentations.
  • What this means: In past years OSTC has supported between 60-70 presenters during the 2 day conference. This year, despite the longer time frame, we are only opening 30 session slots for presenters. Because of this there is a firm deadline for applications to present and the grading rubric will be used more vigorously. Additionally, we will be focused on ensuring that the variety of topics as well as agency representatives (as speakers) is presented as equitably as possible.
  • The virtual nature of this conference means that we will be utilizing Zoom for live presentation sessions.
  • What this means: To make this process as smooth and accessible as possible presenters will be offered training around the basics of Zoom, as well as the given the opportunity to utilize the different features (such as breakout rooms and polls). All presenters will also have in session support during the conference to navigate technology issues that might arise.
