Welcome to the event portal for this #BCTConf session. Following are a few Q&As to help answer your questions. If you have other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us. Learn more about Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries' other conferences and training events at www.faithlafayette.org/conferences.
When/How can I register?
The $199 early-bird registration price is available until 12/17/2021 at 11:59pm ET; after that, the price will be $229.
Once registration is open, click on either of the turquoise Register buttons on this page and select the Track for which you'd like to register.
If you're looking to register for the February 2022 #BCTConf Preconference, that is a separate event for which you can register here. (Don't worry, once you enter your personal information once, you won't have to re-enter it a second time.)
Will any of the tracks count for ACBC Continuing Education Credits?
Tracks 2, 3, 4, and 6 have been approved for 20 continuing education credit hours. The credits will be awarded to you if you check that you would like them during the registration process and you check in for each session. This only applies to the credits needed for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How is the 2022 #BCTConf different from previous years?
This past year forced us (along with the rest of the world) to reevaluate everything, and it allowed us to specifically step back and ask ourselves, "How can we improve the conference experience for our guests?" Following are some of the changes that resulted from that evaluation process.
Reduced Pricing: Instead of single guests paying from $285 to $335, their cost is now $199 to $229, and instead of couples paying $480 to $530, their cost is now $398 to $458.
Increased Choices: Our conference attendees can now choose to attend the conference in-person or virtually. They can choose to download 1 of 3 different versions of digital notes for free, or they can purchase a physical notebook for $29.99. With more and more people choosing specialized diets, and with over 50 restaurants available less than 10 minutes away from the conference site, we are expanding the lunch break to 1.5 hours in order to allow our guests to make their own midday meal choice.
Greater Flexibility: Not only are all of the tracks available virtually to the in-person attendees during the week (not feeling well? stay in your hotel room and watch the sessions online), but all of the in-person and virtual attendees will have 30-day on-demand access to all of the lectures for their track after the close of the conference. Please note that one of natural results of this option is that registration fees are no longer refundable, nor are they transferable to other individuals because, even if you are unable to attend in-person, you will still have on-demand access to your track's sessions for 30 days after the close of the conference.
Where can I find/view the track schedules?
On the Agenda tab. The default view displays all of the tracks; select a specific track to view only that track's session.
Where is the conference located?
In central Indiana, just an hour north of Indianapolis. All tracks will be hosted at our Faith East campus (5526 SR 26 East, Lafayette, 47905).
What travel accommodations are available?
There are several options for traveling to/from Lafayette and accommodations overnight when you get here, including discounted rates at select hotels (see the Accommodations tab). Free housing is also available on a limited basis for those who otherwise cannot attend the conference, and that option, if still available, will be presented during the registration process.
The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is 65 miles from Faith's campus. The closest alternative major airport is Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), about 140 miles from Faith. Car rental companies are located at both airports.
Can I attend virtually?
Yes, every registrant is given the option to sign up for any of the six tracks as an In-Person or Virtual attendee. All of the virtual tracks will have live hosts who interact with our virtual attendees throughout the day. Tracks 1, 4 & 6 will be broadcasting live feeds of those tracks' sessions; Tracks 2, 3 & 5 will be viewing on-demand content (i.e. the same content as the In-Person attendees, but recorded prior to the start of the conference).
Where can I find the digital notes for my track's sessions?
At least two weeks before the start of the conference, three sets of PDFs will appear in the Documents tab of this event portal (but they will only be visible to those who have registered).
Two of the PDFs will contain all of the notes for your track's sessions, one with the blanks filled in and one with the blanks unfilled. Download the file of your choice to to print your notes in advance or to save to your favorite note-taking app (here's a short tutorial video explaining how to use a PDF Digital Markup Tool).
The other PDF will contain links to all of the digital fill-in versions of the notes (test out this sample digital fill-in-note complete with a simple tutorial). Bookmark that PDF so that you can quickly find the notes you need.
You decide which type of type of digital note works best in your workflow.
Can I order a physical notebook?
Yes, you'll be given the option to order a physical notebook for $29.99 when you register.
Where can I find my track's live sessions and/or on-demand videos?
Once the conference's start date has arrived, a large turquoise "LIVE NOW" banner will appear at the top if this event portal; click on that banner to access the Virtual Event Organizer (VEO).
The My Itinerary tab of the VEO will list all of the sessions that have a live session attached to them. Click on a session's title to open it and then click on the turquoise Access Session button to join the live session.
The Resources tab of the VEO will contain all of the on-demand videos available for your track sorted alphabetically. Use the search field to quickly and easily find selected videos.
Registration fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable to other individuals, and all registrants will have on-demand access to their track's sessions for 30 days after the training event, even if they are unable to attend in person.
