Welcome to the event portal for this #BCTConf session. Following are a few Q&As to help answer your questions. If you have other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us. Learn more about Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries' other conferences and training events at www.faithlafayette.org/conferences.
When/How can I register?
The $199 early-bird registration price is available until 11/18/2022; after that, the price will be $229.
Once registration is open, click on either of the turquoise Register buttons on this page and select the Track for which you'd like to register.
If you're looking to register for the February 2023 #BCTConf Preconference, that is a separate event for which you can register here. (Don't worry, once you enter your personal information once, you won't have to re-enter it a second time.)
What training tracks are offered?
Tracks 1-3 provide Foundational, Intermediate and Advanced biblical counseling training and are the ones we would suggest starting with. Track 4: Ongoing Training is created from scratch each year in order to offer continuing education on current issues in the biblical counseling movement and topics relevant to leading a ministry and training others. Track 5: ACBC Exam Preparation helps individuals pursue ACBC certification by teaching about and guiding you through each question on the theology and counseling exam. Track 6: Women’s Topics delivering robust training relevant to counseling women in today’s world. And Track 7: Marriage & Reconciliation satisfies the ACBC lecture requirements needed in order to apply for both of the Marriage and the Reconciliation advanced specializations.
If you've never attended one of our conferences and don't know what to expect, check out these sample sessions - an entire teaching session from each of our six tracks to help you get a feel for the biblically based, life-changing content we offer through our conferences.
Where can I find/view the track schedules?
On the Agenda tab. The default view displays all of the tracks; select a specific track to view only that track's session.
Where is the conference located?
All tracks will be held at the Faith East property. Tracks 1, 2, 3, and 7 will be at the church and school building. Tracks 4, 5, and 6 will be held at the community center. The track locations are subject to change.
Is lunch provided?
The option to purchase a lunch ticket for all four days (Monday-Thursday) is full. For those of you that have purchased this option, the menu is below. For those that didn't purchase a lunch ticket, we would suggest preplanning your mealtimes while at the BCTC. Yes, every registrant is given the option to sign up for any of the six tracks as an In-Person or Virtual attendee. Tracks 1, 4, 6, & 7 will be broadcasting live feeds of those tracks' sessions; Tracks 2, 3 & 5 will be viewing on-demand content (i.e. the same content as the In-Person attendees, but recorded prior to the start of the conference).
Where can I find the digital notes for my track's sessions?
At least two weeks before the start of the conference, three sets of PDFs will appear in the Documents tab of this event portal (but they will only be visible to those who have registered).
Two of the PDFs will contain all of the notes for your track's sessions, one with the blanks filled in and one with the blanks unfilled. Download the file of your choice to to print your notes in advance or to save to your favorite note-taking app (here's a short tutorial video explaining how to use a PDF Digital Markup Tool).
The other PDF will contain links to all of the digital fill-in versions of the notes (test out this sample digital fill-in-note complete with a simple tutorial). Bookmark that PDF so that you can quickly find the notes you need.
You decide which type of type of digital note works best in your workflow.
