The Big Ten Women’s Workshop (BTWW) 2022
Women in Engineering WORKSHOP
Tue, June 07, 2022 — Wed, June 08, 2022
THIS EVENT IS 100% FREE!

Few opportunities exist for junior women faculty in engineering to network, foster peer mentoring relationships, and to interact with other women engineering faculty, particularly with women role models. This lack of professional interaction is often cited as an important contributing factor to the under-representation of women on engineering faculties.

This year we are pleased to be holding the Big Ten Women’s Workshop (BTWW) 2022! All women assistant professors in their first three years of a tenure-track academic appointment in engineering at an institution in the Big Ten Academic Alliance are invited to join us for BTWW 2022 on June 7-8, at the Eaglewood Resort and Spa, located approximately 12 miles from Chicago O’Hare airport. In addition, senior women faculty members from the Big 10 universities will attend to lead workshops, panel discussions and breakout group sessions.

Goals of the event include:

  • To provide a professional networking opportunity – the workshop will include a networking session and other opportunities to engage in research conversations.

  • To cultivate peer collaboration and mentoring relationships – activities designed to share best practices for success will be included.

  • To foster interactions with senior engineering role models – discussions will highlight multiple pathways to success.
