Southern Region EMS Council was founded in 1975 as a not for profit organization, funded almost entirely by state grant funds, whose mission is to assist EMS agencies within our region with sustainability, training and equipping. We offer scholarships for initial EMT training and continuing education courses to individuals in our region. For services and agencies we provide financial assistance through mini-grants, capital equipment grants (Code Blue), providing technical expertise and by providing training for initial EMT 1,2,3 & AEMT certifications, EMS refreshers and AHA courses as well as providing continuing medical education.
The Alaska EMS Symposium, hosted by Southern Region EMS Council, is the largest EMS training conference in Alaska. Emergency Trauma Technicians (ETT), EMT's, Paramedics and emergency clinicians from around Alaska come to Anchorage to engage in continuing their medical education by listening to speakers from around the country and from their peers.
The Exhibitor Hall will be available for setup on November 14 @ 1:00 PM.
