Footsteps to Excellence: Innovations in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery

January, 2025 marks the 47th year that the Illinois Podiatric Medical Students’ Association (IPMSA) has organized this annual continuing education activity and the fifth year that it will be held virtually. The Midwinter Seminar supports student activities at Scholl College and allows for numerous scholarship opportunities. By attending, you support the student’s efforts and 100% of the proceeds go to the IPMSA.


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the

standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Illinois Podiatric Medical Students’ Association.


Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine and has approved this activity for a maximum of 8.5* continuing education contact hours.


*Continuing education credit hours are based on the lecture time and attendance. Scholl College reserves the right to make changes to the program as necessitated by illness, emergency, or virtual connections issues which may reduce the amount of approved continuing education credit hours.

How much does it cost to attend the Midwinter Seminar? 

$150 Regular (On or before Wednesday, January 22, 2025, 11:59 PM cst)

$200 Late Registration (January 23-24, 2025*)

*Registration closes at 5:00 PM cst on Friday, January 24, 2025.


When does registration open?

Registration opens Monday, September 16, 2024 and closes at 5:00 PM cst on Friday, January 24, 2025.


I am a podiatry resident; do I get a discount?

Podiatry residents should contact Kimberly Young at scholl.ce@rosalindfranklin.edu.


How many CECH’s will I earn?

Attendees may earn up to 8.5 continuing education credit hours and based on lecture time and attendance. Scholl College reserves the right to make changes to the program as necessitated by illness, emergency, or virtual connections issues which may reduce the amount of approved continuing education credit hours.


How many speakers are there?

Historically there have been 12-14 speakers.


Is this a virtual or in person conference?

The seminar will be held virtually on Saturday, January 25, 2025 via the Zoom platform, Central Standard Time. 


How will I sign in for attendance?

Approximately 1 week prior to the seminar, you will receive an email from Scholl College with information on how to register with Zoom. There are two sessions that have required log-in times. In the morning and the afternoon. Zoom records and provides a detailed list of attendee’s time of log-in, log-out, and the total time in attendance for all sessions. Attendees must be sure to register with Zoom using their first and last names, and email used at time of payment. The conference will be held in Central Standard Time


What is the schedule?

The seminar is planned to be held between 8am – 5:00pm CENTRAL STANDARD TIME. The seminar schedule will be posted when all topics and speakers are confirmed. Scholl College reserves the right to make changes to the program as necessitated by illness, emergency, or virtual connections issues which may reduce the amount of approved continuing education credit hours.


How will I receive my CME certificate?

Your certificate will be sent via email within 2 weeks of the seminar to the email address that you used for registration and payment. Additionally, your license number and mailing address is included on your certificate. 


Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds and cancellations are subject to a $35 processing fee. Scholl College reserves the right to make changes to the program as necessitated by illness or emergency. Please contact Kimberly Young at scholl.ce@rosalindfranklin.edu.
