Seminar I will take place at Indiana University on October 9-11, 2025. The event will begin with lunch at 11:00am, and the welcome remarks, along with participant introductions, will begin at 12:00pm. Please ensure your travel arrangements allow for you to fully participate in the welcome session.


This three-day workshop will focus on foundational and contemporary issues in higher education. Participants will

  • Understand contemporary issues in U.S. higher education in their historical and institutional context 
  • Develop approaches to effectively engage our full student and faculty populations in our teaching, research, and service missions 
  • Identify strategies to strengthen higher education’s public and international engagement
  • Examine the academic leader's role in strengthening teaching and learning
