Centralina Regional Planning is excited to announce the 2021 Centralina Learns Planning Series. The Planning Series sessions are designed to provide opportunities for planners and others to learn about topics that support our region’s communities and improve the overall health and resilience of the greater Charlotte region. In its fourth year, the 2021 Planning Series will begin with a short session which is comprised of three (3) virtual trainings in the first half of 2021.

2021 Sessions and Descriptions:

  1. February 11th - Everything Data! - Data matters because it identifies issues and informs decisions. Learn what regional data is available and how it can help communities make informed planning decisions but also build support and create opportunities for future change.
  2. April 15th - Transportation Demand Management. What is it and why is it important? Learn about Transportation Demand Management (TDM) and how it is being implemented in the Charlotte region, and lessons learned from other regions.
  3. June 10th - The Post COVID Mandate for Healthy Communities. The coronavirus pandemic has changed how we look at and approach healthy community planning. Join us as we discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on communities and the importance of healthy community planning post-pandemic.

Sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m. Session length 1.5 AICP CM credits. Co-sponsored by APA-NC Section 2.
