Title: The Stories We Tell: Rethinking the Achievement Gap

Date: February 9, 2021

Time: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Location: Virtual

Valerie Faulkner from NCSU will explore the issue of equity by considering habits and systems that maintain, and expand, gaps in achievement. Through exploration of patterns found in hockey, heart attacks, and Norway's Olympic preparation, we will engage with ideas that help situate the educational achievement gap in context. District and school policy and practice will be considered.
