Movora Education is pleased to present the "BioMedtrix THR for Veterinary Surgical Technicians Workshop."

This workshop will provide a full day of hands-on instruction. Participants of this workshop will learn recommended pre-op and post-op patient care, how to take well positioned x-rays, surgery-day preparation and responsibilities including proper patient clipping, positioning, and draping for THR.  Additional topics will include Inventory Management as well as suggested communication and relationship-building with both pet parents and the referring veterinarian.

Course participants will also have the opportunity to experience both sides of the operating table, along with time for Q&A throughout three THR procedures; Cemented, Cementless, and a Hybrid THR.

Course instructors include Ms. Kim McKenzie, and Dr. Jonathan Dyce. 

Ms. McKenzie is a Registered Veterinary Technician with over 25 years of Total Hip Replacement experience at The Ohio State University. Dr. Jonathan Dyce is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at OSU. This top-notch team has performed over 2,000 Total Hip Replacement procedures and looks forward to sharing their knowledge and expertise with technicians who are eager to increase their confidence level when supporting THR surgeons.
