Seminar is to introduce Community Emergency Response Team to Cadets and how they can be involved.

California sees major wildfires every year, and aircraft are one of the best tools we have to fight and contain them and protect people and property. This class will describe how a global industry developed from humble beginnings right here in California, and became a vital component for fighting fires, requiring highly skilled and daring pilots. You will learn about the machines and people that conduct this dangerous work, as well as how to get into the industry if that is something that interests you.

This seminar will present the focus and differences of each of the 5 Service Academies. I will then discuss the similarities and differences in the application and nomination processes. Last, and most important, I will discuss how they can start NOW to prepare and compile a "competitive" resume.

This seminar is focused on explaining what to expect in an AFROTC unit, as well as an overview on the program itself. As AFROTC is one of the Air Force's three main commisioning sources, many CAP cadets find themselves in a Detachment as they enter college. In the hobby of model rocketry, you can build all sorts of rockets that go up to various heights with motors ranging from A through D. You can even find bigger rockets that fly on rocket motors from E through G. Believe it or not, you can get bigger yet, you just need to get certified in high power rocketry. In this seminar, you will learn about high power rocketry, and the exciting journey that goes with it, The certification process and challenges associated with each new level.

Introduction to the Incident Command System and how to use it in planning and executing an activity in your squadron or community event. The class will include the overview and a a chance to try it out. It is recommended that those attending take the FEMA ICS 100 and 700 courses available online. Completion of those courses count toward obtaining a Mission Staff Assistant rating.

This seminar will cover some sUAS material. Mostly will cover potential careers in sUAS for both military and civilian sectors. May also provide some information on how to get one's Remote Pilot Certificate, how to start the ES Ratings, and how to reach out to their group representatives/SETs.

Prospective Mars explorers and pioneers....using supplied materials, teams will be assigned to rapidly research and report on related space environment, human factors, shelters, mobility, robotics, colonization, and alien life-then participate in post-briefing summary/evaluation.

Airplanes and aircraft are designed to be in the sky; they are designed to sustain flight in a safe manner. But what happens when an airplane falls from the sky? What happens when something goes catastrophically wrong? How do we figure out what happened? How do we ensure that it never happens again? In this seminar, we will explore the methods by which investigators obtain evidence from air disasters and piece it together to figure out exactly what went wrong at 30,000 feet. We will also engage in a simulation where we will attempt to figure out the cause of a mock air accident using multiple different pieces of evidence.

Are you interested in Emergency Services or Search and Rescue? This course is designed to teach the basics of searching techniques and how to perform in a search line efficently. There will also be a Skills Evaluator Trainer to sign tasks off for a ratings in Emergency Services.

Disasters can strike at any time with little to no warning. Although we cannot fully prevent the harmful effects, we can take proactive steps to reduce the impact of disasters and potentially save our lives. This class will teach you the 3 main steps to prepare for any disaster. Who knows when the next disaster will approach? Are you prepared for an emergency?

Cadets will have the opportunity to ask questions and dialogue directly with the National Commander.

Combat is the ultimate test of leadership. In this seminar, we will explore the combat leadership lessons learned and how these leadership principles can be applied in every day life.
