CATA-ACAT 2022 Symposium: Relationship & Reciprocity

Saturdays: September 24, October 22, November 26

8am-4pm PT / 9am-5pm MT / 11am-7pm ET / 12pm-8pm AT

Online via Zoom

Join us in three days of arts-based workshops this fall, exploring land-based practices and social justice in art therapy, with facilitators bringing a broad range of experiences in art therapy and a shared passion for individual and collective healing through the arts. Together we will creatively explore these questions central to not only our professional practices, but also our ways of being in community and the world:

  • As art therapists, how can we practice with eco-sensitivity and be in right relationship to the land?
  • How can we address the ongoing social injustices and violence as individual practitioners and as a profession, in relationship with communities and each other?
  • How do we continue to expand our learning and practices in anti-racism, anti-oppression, decolonization, and environmental justice?
  • How can we integrate reciprocity into our art therapy practice?

Registration Open!

Register for one, two, or all three full-day passes. Discounts available for students, CATA-ACAT members, students and practitioners identifying as Black, Indigenous, or people of colour / racialized (BIPOC), and those registering for all three days.

Sessions on Sept. 24 and Nov. 26 will be recorded, and recordings available to registered participants until July 31, 2023.
