The Behavioral Health Team is excited to host an interactive, virtual event for families with teens ages 13 to 17 years of age.  Families will learn how to use a "Choice Point," a helpful exercise that comes from evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which teaches people how to move from "surviving to thriving." And let's be honest, most of us are in survival mode these days. It's totally normal for teens and parents to look to the future with uncertainty and fear instead of curiosity and excitement. Join our Behavioral Health Consultant, Norma, from Southwest Pediatrics, to learn more about what "hooks" you and pulls you away from who you want to be, and meet your "helpers," the things that move you towards who you want to be. A pdf of handouts will be provided for you via email.
