Learn all you need to know to teach a safe and effective water aerobics class! From warm-up options to engaging choreography, core with noodles (suspended and plank) and complete static stretch -- discover the incredible variety and flexibility of the aquatic exercise environment. Create your own learning portal and study detailed online lectures/modules that cover special populations (older adults, persons with arthritis, diabetes, obesity, etc.), how and when to offer specific modifications, how to make smooth transitions, basic anatomy and movement terminology, and download video tutorials that break down the moves that you can use as reference for your future class programming.
Once your online education modules are complete, come get in the water with AP creator Janice Jaicks to go through the entire course practical. You'll have the opportunity to create your own routine and practice your skills with the rest of the in-person group. An online exam will follow the live training.
