The topic for this year's Race and Medicine Symposium will be Maternal Mortality in Illinois, and will take place both in-person and virtually on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, beginning at 6:00 pm CDT. This panel discussion will examine how the social determinants of health negatively impact Black maternal outcomes across Illinois, with a special focus on Lake County.
