This course caters to mobile crane operators aiming to secure NCCCO certification across various crane types: Swing Cab (TLL), Fixed Cab (TSS), Lattice Boom Cranes (LAT), Service Truck Crane (STC), Articulating Boom Crane (ABC), and Articulating Boom Crane with winch (ABW). The curriculum equips students for the requisite written exams, vital for NCCCO certification. The course spans four days, comprising a three-day preparatory session and subsequent written and practical assessments. Please be aware that depending on class size, the duration may extend to five days. Practical exams are typically conducted on Thursday and/or Friday, contingent upon enrollment. Written exams are scheduled for Friday, with provision for recertification candidates to sit for the written exam on Thursday, subject to availability. Notably, practical exams for Lattice Boom Cranes (LAT) are arranged separately from the class schedule.
For comprehensive guidance on NCCCO testing protocols and requirements, the "Candidate Handbook" is accessible for download at www.nccco.org. Registered students are eligible for transfer to the next available class upon submission of an approved "letter of excuse" to NCCCO. Should a student opt to cancel registration, a processing fee of $750.00 will be applicable. Rescheduled Practical Exams incur a $100 re-scheduling fee.
NCCCO requires the written core exam in addition the respective crane specialty exam for all mobile crane specialties (TLL, TSS, LAT). Complete registration necessitates the purchase of the classroom session, core exam, and the respective specialty exam(s) sought. If you are a new certification you will also need to register for a practical exam. For individuals pursuing multiple crane specialties, please be sure to add the relevant exams in your registration "cart".
NOTE: Registration must be complete one week prior to the start of each workshop. Late registration are subject to space restrictions and subject to additional fees.
