This course is intended to prepare technicians for the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Section 608 Certification exam. The course covers ozone depletion, Global Warming Potential, the Clean Air Act, EPA Regulations, refrigerant recovery, recycling, recovery, safe refrigerant-handling, and alternative refrigerants. The study guide is available to download at https://b-y.com/training/epa and a link will be sent via email. This guide must be reviewed prior to the class.
Seminar fee includes a study manual, 6 hours of professional instruction, examination administration, and certification cards for those who pass the examination. Students may become certified in Type I, Type II, Type III, or Universal. Technicians preparing for this examination must be familiar with the basic vapor-compression refrigeration cycle, as well as common service principles, practices, and procedures.
Lunch will be provided.
Cost: $250
Registration closes one week prior to start date. If minimum number of students is not met, Behler-Young reserves the right to cancel the class. Students will be notified by the email entered at registration.
