ORAL PATHOLOGY AND IMPLANT RECONSTRUCTION

Oral pathology is frequently identified in patients during their routine dental hygiene appointments. Careful attention is crucial in the recognition and diagnosis of these cases. In this discussion, we will navigate the identification and management of some of the most common oral pathology. We will also discuss reconstruction options for destructive lesions of the oral cavity.



Objectives:


- Review the presentation of common oral pathology.

- Assess treatment options depending on differential diagnosis.

- Discuss the indications for reconstruction after removal of pathology.

- Recognize when referral to a specialist should be considered.
