NOAC is a Spirit-filled gathering of adults 50 and older who love learning and discerning together, exploring God's call for their lives and living out that call by sharing their energy, insight, and legacy with their families, communities and the world.

If you plan to register two (or more) with YOUR credit card, please select that number in the dropdown box on the right for number of people to register. (or however many people you are paying for). If it's just 1, select that.

This selection will act as a placeholder for more than one individual. When you are finished making activity selections, you will then be prompted to add the registration info for the other individual you paid for. Enter their email address and fill out their information on the form. The total of all your registrations will show up at the end.

Wednesday, Sept 3. We will provide the materials for NOAC participants to assemble 1000 kits. Limit: 35 people.

Thursday, Sept 4. $50 cost includes $20 for bus and a $30 donation to the ministry.

The Haywood Street United Methodist Church includes a mix of housed and unhoused individuals…. and everything in between. Their mission: “Relationship above all else.” We will take a tour of their facilities and help with cleaning in their dining and hospitality rooms. The choir will rehearse 4:00-5:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Choir director, Bev Anspaugh, invites you to participate even if you may miss a rehearsal due to a field trip. The $20 fee for music packets is non-refundable.

There will be five worship services - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings and Friday morning.

Tuesday, Sept. 2. 1:00-5:00 p.m. Read about the Basilica's renowned architect, Raphael Guastavino, who worked on the Biltmore House in the late 1800's. It is the fascinating history of an old-world artist bringing his talents to the U.S. The art and architecture of the Basilica is a National Treasure. It has the largest freestanding elliptical dome in the country. $30 per person includes transportation and donation to the Basilica.

Wednesday, Sept. 3. 1:00-5:00 pm. Join us in the 18th Century to see what life was like for the Cherokee Indians of the North Carolina mountains. The Oconaluftee Indian Village guided tours will take you through craft demonstrations by award-winning artists who will explain the unique Cherokee crafting techniques. Meet historical Cherokee people in the living history section. You can also view special shows throughout the season such as "Time of War" and traditional Cherokee dancing.

Cost includes $10 per person for transportation, $20 entrance fee.

Thursday, Sept. 4. 1:00-5:00 pm. Hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway - Pisgah National Forest. This area is wild, rugged, and exceptionally beautiful. 3 levels of hiking are offered on these trails: easy, moderate, and challenging. There are many steps to reach the trails.
