THIS EVENT IS 100% FREE!
This program is designed to train and certify students as NCCCO Tower Crane Operators and Qualified Riggers, preparing them for successful entry into the construction crane industry.
Course Overview:
Students will receive comprehensive training to become certified Tower Crane Operators. The program includes both written and practical NCCCO certification exams, and successful completion will result in an NCCCO Tower Crane Certification (TOW).
Training Breakdown:
- Hands-On Experience: Students will spend approximately 53% of their time in the field, gaining practical experience with tower cranes. Training includes rigging loads, performing designed lifts, setting up cranes, blind lifts, and signaling.
- Classroom Learning: Students will cover essential topics such as ASME standards, OSHA regulations, crane safety, load charts, wire rope reeving, and proper crane setup and operation. Daily reading and homework assignments are required.
- Supervised Instruction: NCCCO-certified instructors will provide guidance, ensuring that students develop the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and effective crane operation. The training environment simulates real-world job site conditions.
NCCCO Certification:
Certification is critical for employment as a crane operator. As an approved NCCCO testing facility, Colorado Crane Operator School ensures that students are fully prepared for the certification exams. The NCCCO written and practical exams will take place during the course, using the same equipment students trained on. The first attempt at these exams is included in the course fee, though a nominal fee applies for retests if necessary.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Full refunds are available for students who are not accepted or who cancel within three (3) business days of registration and before classes begin, minus a maximum cancellation fee of $150 or 25% of the contract price (whichever is lower).
- After classes have started, refunds will be prorated based on the percentage of the program completed, as outlined in the refund table.
