Program Summary:

“The Comprehensive Periodontal Exam: The Musts and Must-Nots” will focus on the essential components of a thorough periodontal examination. It will cover the critical steps and best practices for assessing periodontal health, highlighting the must-dos for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning. Additionally, it will address common mistakes to avoid during the exam to ensure 

optimal patient care and accurate results. The session aims to provide dental professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to perform comprehensive periodontal assessments confidently.

TOPIC: The Comprehensive Periodontal Exam: the must and must nots.

Learning Objectives

1. Learn how to conduct a precise, quality periodontal exam
2. Understand the needs of the patients and apply those needs to your treatment plan
3. Gain a better understanding of oral conditions so that you may identify factors that require a referral to a periodontist.

About Dr. Chase Taylor:

Dr. Taylor is originally from Alabama where he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham earning a Master of Science in biology and neuroscience and Bachelor of Science in biology, with minors in chemistry and psychology. From Alabama, Dr. Taylor moved to Arizona to attend dental school at A.T. Still University - Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. During dental school, Dr. Taylor found his passion for periodontics and was accepted to the University of Florida's Periodontics and Implant Dentistry residency. After completing residency, Dr. Taylor became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and works in private practice specializing in periodontics, implant dentistry and oral plastic surgery.
