Precision Oral Surgery's own, Dr. Cecil P. Stancil, Jr. and Dr. Atijah J. Collins will be leading the program: Dental Implant Maintenance and Hygiene.

Program Summary:
This educational program provides a comprehensive overview of dental implants, focusing on their long-term maintenance and management. Participants will begin with a review of fundamental implant concepts, including criteria for clinical success and indicators of failure. The course emphasizes evidence-based protocols for implant hygiene and maintenance, equipping dental professionals with the knowledge needed to promote peri-implant health. It also covers the diagnosis and classification of peri-implant diseases and conditions, culminating in an in-depth discussion of current strategies for the treatment of peri-implantitis

About Dr. Cecil P. Stancil, Jr., DDS
Dr. Cecil Stancil Jr. completed training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Meharry Medical College. From 2008 to current, Dr. Stancil has practiced in Atlanta, Georgia and its surrounding areas. Dr. Stancil maintains an active practice in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Smyrna, GA. Dr. Cecil Stancil Jr. has a special interest in dental implants, wisdom tooth extractions and bone grafting.

About Dr. Atijah J. Collins, DMD, MS
Dr. Collins has a genuine enthusiasm for oral surgery and has experience in both the clinical and hospital setting. He understands that the needs of the patient comes first, and is always willing to take the time needed to answer whatever questions the patient may have.
Dr. Atijah Collins was born and raised in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. He completed a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at Mercer University. He then obtained a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was awarded the Dean’s Award for earning the top grade-point average over the two-year program. Shortly after, Dr. Collins was accepted into the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia) where he obtained his doctorate of dental medicine (D.M.D.) and was awarded the Dental Student Award presented by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Collins was accepted to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma hospital, in Los Angeles where he completed a 4-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His training helped him gain experience in treatment of complex dental extractions, implant placement, advanced bone grating techniques, management of medically complex patients, pathology, facial trauma and reconstruction. He had the honor of serving as Chief resident during his last year of residency as well as being elected as a delegate for CIR (Committee of Interns and Residents) for the Harbor UCLA chapter.
Dr. Collins has a genuine enthusiasm for the field of oral surgery and has presented on various topics related to oral surgery at conferences such as the Hinman Dental Meeting. Dr. Collins is a board-eligible oral surgeon and an active member of several professional organizations that include:
