The Youth SAVE Learning Community aims to foster a collaborative space to share knowledge, learn new strategies, and discuss best practices to support youth and young adult mental health.


This is a virtual gathering exclusively for individuals who have previously attended a Youth SAVE training session. Together, we can enhance our skills, build our networks of support and collaboration, and develop more effective suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies to strengthen our communities.

  • Explore how Adi's Act continues to require the presence of clear suicide screening and safety planning policies and procedures in Oregon schools.
  • Discuss how the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Education have been engaging with various statewide partners to support school personnel who are conducting suicide screening.
  • Learn about OHA's recommendations for school districts to use evidence-based screeners for suicide risk
  • Understand the School Suicide Screening Toolkit Workgroup and ways they're creating clarity and tools for school-based staff.
