This series of live webinars provides doulas with step-by-step guidance for bringing their doula business from dream to reality. We will cover all the basics for start-up doula businesses, including how to position yourself for growth. Topics include establishing a practice model and business infrastructure, embracing marketing as a form of client education, strategies for attracting customers online, how to limit any liability associated with doula work, creating a business plan to organize your efforts and get it all done, and more! Use our guidance, implementation tools, and resources to pace yourself through the steps and get your questions answered as you go. You can register for all the sessions, or pick and choose which ones you would like to attend.

Session 6: Planning for Success & Joyful Practice

·        Identify features of an abundance mindset versus a scarcity mindset.

·        Use a template to identify your top business goal and objectives and at least three action steps towards reaching the goal. 

·        Set a timeline for completion of the action steps.

·        Identify your biggest challenge to launching your doula business.

·        Consider strategies for overcoming your challenge.

·        Explain your favorite time management strategies (how to get it all done).

·        Discuss why boundary challenges are so common for doulas.

·        Define your professional boundaries as a form of self-care.

·        Explain the “art” of being on-call and the importance of your doula community.
