This four-part workshop series, Nurturing the Nurturers, is designed to address burnout, secondary trauma, and chronic stress among Michigan's birthworkers. Each session will equip participants with tools to enhance resilience, practice self-compassion, and build supportive networks. Delivered live in an interactive format, this series will emphasize actionable strategies and peer collaboration. You can attend all sessions or specific ones that you are interested in.

Workshop 4: Reflective Practices and Community Building

This final workshop emphasizes the importance of reflective practices and the development of long-term peer support structures. Participants will learn to debrief effectively and create collaborative, supportive environments within their professional communities.

Activities:

  • Journaling: Guided prompts will help participants reflect on their personal and professional experiences, promoting deeper self-awareness.
  • Debriefing Role-Plays: Participants will practice debriefing techniques to provide and receive constructive support in emotionally charged situations.
  • Creating a Community Agreement: Working collaboratively, participants will draft a shared agreement outlining principles for mutual support and accountability within their networks.

The virtual session is free to attend.
