Math: High School Task Force Recommendations for the New Standards

Description:

The Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics organized a High School Math Task Force to examine the changes in the new 2022 math standards and recommend course sequencing pathways for high schools. In this virtual session, task force co-leader Casey Rutherford will present the group’s key findings and walk us through their recommendations for high school math pathways. We’ll highlight important shifts that schools should begin preparing for now—particularly around course offerings and student progression. This is a valuable opportunity to ask questions, engage in discussion, and ensure your district is ready for what’s ahead.

Here is the High School Task Force report

Please send questions to kpratt@mnscsc.org. We will host an open Q&A time during the session as well.

A zoom link will be sent out prior to the event.
