In this foundational workshop presented by Camden Webb, educators, school administrators, and mental health professionals will explore the essential components of student enrollment and eligibility for Medi-Cal services within behavioral health systems. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Medi-Cal enrollment process tailored specifically for students receiving behavioral health services.

Key topics will include an overview of available services, the critical role of school settings in facilitating these services, and best practices for efficient billing procedures. Attendees will learn how to effectively communicate policies to students and families, ensuring they are well-informed about eligibility criteria, available services, and their rights under Medi-Cal.

The workshop will also cover the legal and ethical aspects of parental consent for services and billing, providing practical guidance on how to obtain and document consent in compliance with regulations. Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants will leave with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to support students in need of behavioral health services.
