Welcome to AffiKNITy 2026

Imagine yourself knitting in a rocker, on a giant wraparound porch at a spectacular historic resort. Sitting on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, NY, is this historic family-owned resort. I hope you can join me and an amazing group of teachers at Otesega Resort for AffiKNITy 2026.

I wanted to create a special retreat where every knitter feels welcome. Whether you've been knitting for 2 months or 20 years, whether you're traveling alone or with a group of friends, whether you like to be in class all day or have a ton of free time . . . this is the retreat for you.

When not in class, there are lots of cozy spots to sit and knit. Enjoy the sprawling grounds and explore all that comes with the resort. Relax on the grand porch, take a canoe out on the lake, enjoy a round of golf, book a spa appointment, or take out a bike and enjoy the town.

Located in historic Cooperstown, we'll also enjoy discounts to the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Clark Sports Center.

Your Package Options:

Customize it all! You will be able to pick from THREE class packages and build your own schedule, choosing the times that fit your needs — first-come, first-served, so fill out your application as soon as it opens to get your first choices. Choose a little or a lot. It's up to you. Everyone will be together in the evenings for knitting, games, fashion shows, and fun.

You Choose It All — How Registration Works

1) Choose Class Package

Some knitters want three days of education: that's the Full Hank. Some knitters want to take a class and have plenty of hang-out time: that's the Mini Skein. Then there are the new knitters or those who want to refresh their skills and have always dreamed of attending a knitting retreat. For them — the Gauge Swatch.

Full Hank: $ 1,245 — 3 classes, one from each guest teacher, all meals, opening night party, drink tickets, lectures and mini sessions, evening events, fashion show, goodie bag, 3+ retreat patterns, and the 2-day marketplace. Can also attend any of the Skill Builders when you are not in class.

Mini Skein: $1055 — 1 class from a guest teacher, all meals, opening night party, drink tickets, lectures and mini sessions, evening events, fashion show, goodie bag, 3 + retreat patterns, and the 2-day marketplace. Can also attend any of the Skill Builders when you are not in class.

Gauge Swatch $995 — Four 90-minute skill builder sessions with Patty AND Julia Farwell-Clay, all meals, opening night party, drink tickets, lectures and mini sessions, evening events, fashion show, goodie bag, 3 + retreat patterns, and the 2-day marketplace. Can also attend any of the Skill Builders when you are not in class.

TWO skill levels are offered in some classes so new knitters can feel comfy!

Wool Winder (non-knitting companion) $800 — all meals, opening night party, drink tickets, evening events, and marketplace.

All knitters will be together for meals, evening events, talks, the marketplace, and knit night.

2) Choose Day/Time (Full Hank & Mini Skein Only)

You can choose when you take classes because each teacher will present their class four times.

I'm so thrilled to be joined by Carson Demers, Anne Hanson, Aimée Gille, and Julia Farwell-Clay, teaching mini sessions.

Meet the Vendors

We have four amazing yarn vendors. Every attendee will get a retreat pattern in every yarn. One pattern from a guest teacher: Bare Naked Wool, Brooklyn General (Exclusive NY vendor for La Bien Aimée), and CeCe's Wool, and Clean Cashmere. There will also be wonderful gift vendors selling bags (Yarn & Whiskey), shawl pins, jewelry (Indigo Lane Jewlery), and our own LYS - Sybil's!

Cancellation Policy

No refund will be given after Feb 24, 2026, unless your space can be filled. You will then receive a full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit of $400.

Housing:

The registration fee does not include housing, so knitters can choose from room types AND choose if they'd like to share with a friend (to split expenses).

Make sure you book your room quickly as there are a set number of each room type. Rooms start at $249 for a single or double (as low as $124.5 per person!).*

*Accommodation rates do not include 6% Lodging Tax, 8% Sales Taxes

We have a limited room block and can't hold rooms at our room rate for those on the wait list. If you get into the retreat, you will be emailed the booking information and booking code.

There is limited availability before and after the retreat. The group rate will be honored 2 days before and 2 days after (pending availability) if you want to make a week of it!
