This course provides a comprehensive look at commercial and residential exhaust systems through the lens of the model Energy Code. Through case studies, code analysis, and hands on exercises, attendees will gain the knowledge needed to effectively evaluate exhaust system performance, ensure proper ventilation, and meet the energy efficiency requirements of the model International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This session blends technical fundamentals with real world applications to review how exhaust systems function, how they impact building energy performance, and what code requirements govern their design, installation, and operation.
