Understanding the Washington TBI Council

Time: 11am-12pm

Location: Virtual/Online

Instructor: Kim Conner, TBI Coordinator and Administrator, WA ST Dept of Social and Health Services

In this workshop, we will explore the mission, structure, and impact of the Washington Traumatic Brain Injury Strategic Partnership Advisory Council. Participants will learn how the Council advocates for individuals affected by brain injury including veterans, caregivers, and family members through education, resource coordination, and statewide planning. We’ll discuss how the Council brings together survivors, service providers, and agency representatives to identify service gaps and improve support systems. This session will also highlight opportunities to engage with the Council’s work and contribute to its efforts to strengthen TBI services for all Washington residents, especially those who have served in the military.
