Program Summary:
This literature review provides an in-depth examination of several of the most influential studies in periodontology. We will evaluate the role of orthodontic therapy and occlusion in periodontal health and treatment outcomes, review evidence-based literature on the association between periodontal and systemic health, and analyze peri-implant phenotypes along with the biological requirements necessary for peri-implant health. Finally, we will discuss key publications that have significantly shaped contemporary periodontal therapy

About Dr. Chase Taylor:
Dr. Taylor is originally from Alabama where he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham earning a Master of Science in biology and neuroscience and Bachelor of Science in biology, with minors in chemistry and psychology. From Alabama, Dr. Taylor moved to Arizona to attend dental school at A.T. Still University - Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. During dental school, Dr. Taylor found his passion for periodontics and was accepted to the University of Florida's Periodontics and Implant Dentistry residency. After completing residency, Dr. Taylor became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and works in private practice specializing in periodontics, implant dentistry and oral plastic surgery.
