    Join us in Reno, Nevada for the 2019 COE Fall Candidate Academy Part 1 - Seeking Candidacy and Candidate Academy Part 2 - Accreditation Prep. Both academies will be held at the Peppermill Resort and Spa.


    Candidate Academy Part 1 - Seeking Candidacy (Maximum number of registrants is 40) -

    For institutions seeking to become a candidate for accreditation with COE. These workshops inform institutions of the accreditation process and cover such topics as eligibility for candidacy and applying for candidacy. Limited to 2 participants per institution.


    Note: Institutions already in candidate status or accredited with COE should not attend Candidate Academy Part 1. Check the links below for Eligibility Requirements for Candidacy with COE and also the Candidate Academy Part 1 Agenda.

    Candidate Academy Part 2 - Accreditation Prep

    For institutions that participated in Candidate Academy Part 1 in 2018, or July 2019 and have been accepted as a candidate for accreditation with COE or will be accepted as a candidate by November 13, 2019. These workshops provide information on the COE Annual Report, including Reporting Student Achievement Data, and writing the Self-Study.

    The agendas for Candidate Academy Part 1 and Part 2 are available above and also under the Documents tab. Registered attendees may check in for the academies on Tuesday, November 12, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and on Wednesday, November 13, beginning at 7:30 am.


    Questions regarding Candidate Academy Part 1 or Part 2 should be emailed to Dr. Alex Wittig of COE, alex.wittig@council.org. The Candidate Academies are not for institutions already accredited by COE.


    Registration fee must be paid by credit card ($18 convenience fee). Early registration fee is $675 per registrant through October 11. Late registration fee is $700 beginning on October 12, 2019. There will be no on-site registration. Note: registration may close early if capacity is reached.


    The registration deadline for making reservations at the Peppermill Resort and Spa is Friday, October 11, 2019.
