**PACKET PICKUP will be held from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM PDT at All Pro Bike Shop in Simi Valley on Friday, Oct. 1, and beginning at 6:00 AM on ride day.
The ride will start and end at the Simi Valley DMV parking lot side of Lemon Park. Ride times are as follows:
The Share the Road Ride began in 2010 as a tribute to Phillip Hernandez who died in a cycling accident in Simi Valley in August of 2005. As a way to honor his memory, friends and family came out to participate in one of his favorite sports and to celebrate Phil’s love of a good long climb.
Since our first ride, we’ve developed a team of cyclists and supporters who are dedicated to providing the BEST ride in Ventura County. We offer five awesome ride courses with great rider support throughout the event at an excellent registration price. Our onsite cycling fair includes a FREE BBQ for you and your cheering squad, and the opportunity to support local businesses and Soaring Spirits International - the nonprofit organization founded by Phil's wife Michele that provides worldwide support to those who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner.
If you would like to join us for the ride but are not local to Simi Valley, we invite you to register for the event and join us for a virtual ride the week of the event! Set your goal of riding 25, 50, 62, or 100 miles from September 26 - October 2 and join your fellow cyclists from the comfort of your own home or on your local streets - just cause you're not local doesn't mean you can't participate in the fun!
Regardless of whether you choose to join us in person or on your own personalized local course, the most important element of the Share the Road Ride is the spreading of the message that safe road sharing between motorists, cyclists and pedestrians is good for everyone. We want all road users to return safely to their families, an opportunity Phillip Hernandez was not afforded. Join us in spreading this important message, supporting a great cause, and participating in a fantastic ride.

Day of Pricing: Oct 1 and 2
NOTE: Group pricing is available upon request. If you have a team of 10 riders, contact us at contact@soaringspirits.org for a discount code that will allow your teammates to register at $10 off each registration!
