Three Workshops with Harlan Gilbert
PLEASE NOTE: THESE TALKS WERE PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 2, 9, AND 16, 2021.
February 1, 7:30pm EST (UTC-5:00)
The Past, Present, and Future Karma of Corona Virus Disease-19
In this session, we will explore three ways karma works, each of which influences our experience of the present pandemic:
- Past karma shapes our experiences and limits our options.
- In the present, we exercise freedom of will, providing the possibility of transforming old karma and of creating new karma.
- Our future destiny calls us to prepare for it.
February 8, 7:30pm EST (UTC-5:00)
Covid and Medical Technology
There is a long history of measures taken to combat disease. How can these be understood from physical, soul, and spiritual perspectives? We will particularly closely examine the development of vaccines, from traditional medicine to contemporary times.
February 15, 7:30pm EST (UTC-5:00)
What Is Covid Asking of Us?
Every challenge is also an opportunity for reflection and a stimulus to self-transformation. The present challenge is unusual in human history in that it is addressed to the entirety of humanity. World-scale challenges are becoming more frequent, however. Why are we facing global challenges, such as the pandemic, today, and what are they asking of us?
