Course Description: Two years into the pandemic, we have all had to scramble to become experts in providing mental health services remotely using teleconferencing technologies such as Zoom or Teams. But when an entire industry has to rapidly pivot, many mistakes are made an important factors are overlooked. Let's take a few hours to pause, reflect on our foundational guiding principles such as our Code of Ethics, State and Federal laws, clinical intuition, etc., and then think critically about hot to ensure that we are doing things right when we flip on the webcam and ring light as we work with patients remotely. We will review Dr. Heitt's CLEAR Lenses model of ethical decision-making and will use this novel approach to discuss case scenarios about telehealth practice.

Learning Objectives:

1. Analyze 1-2 conflicting factors inherent in telehealth practice

2. Discuss the fundamentals of ethical telehealth practice

3. Create a plan to integrate knowledge about telehealth services with the CLEAR Lenses model
