The 2022 NAfME National Leadership Assembly will be held in-person in Reston, VA on June 21-24, 2022. 

Lodging information will be shared in early June. There will be a room block for National Assembly attendees on site in Reston, VA. A housing link will be provided so you can plan to make your own lodging accommodations. The 2022 National Assembly will be a hybrid event and additional information will be made available for virtual access. All events will conclude by 12:00pm ET on June 24. We ask that participants plan to depart the assembly after 12pm ET on June 24. 

The National Executive Board (NEB) has decided that attendance will be limited to NAfME Bylaw required constituencies: Bylaw IX – National Assembly, “Section 2. Makeup. The Presidents of the Federated State Associations, the Chairs of Councils and Societies, and the elected National and Division officers shall constitute the National Assembly. If any member of the National Assembly is unable to attend a meeting of the Assembly, a proxy may be designated by the individual unable to attend, with the approval of the National Executive Board.” 

For the 2022 National Assembly, NAfME will reimburse the aforementioned NAfME Bylaw required constituencies, the Presidents of the Federated State Associations, the Chairs of Councils and Societies, and the National Executive Board, for travel, lodging at the event hotel, and food and beverage at the event space, while attending the event. For planning purposes, please note National Assembly will commence the morning of June 22, 2022. Regarding upcoming travel, the three closest airports to Reston, VA are (by proximity) Dulles International Airport, Reagan National Airport, and BWI Airport. Further logistics are being finalized now with more information to come soon.

• NOTE: The NEB has decided that, subject to limited exceptions, proof of vaccination will be required for attendance at the 2022 National Assembly. Additional details concerning the application of this policy for attendees can be found here.
