This training focuses on how identity and supportive systems shape and play a role in the overall well-being of transgender and gender nonconforming veterans and the discrimination they face.


Objectives


  • Learn how identity and authenticity play a role in values
  • Introduction to transgender and gender non-conforming (GNC) identities
  • Recognize barriers transgender and gender nonconforming veterans experience
  • How language and stereotypes play a role in gender discrimination
  • Reflect on your values when supporting transgender and gender non-conforming individuals and how you can provide person-center services
