In this class we'll be learning how to sketch and water color bees. If you're not interested in painting bees you can paint whatever you'd like, this is art not math.

Fires have become a very big deal in California lately, and aircraft are still one of the best tools we have to fight, contain, and extinguish blazes. In this class, you will learn about the many ways aircraft are used today, what kinds of aircraft are used, and the colorful history that led to modern aerial firefighting. Additionally, you will learn about how to get involved in this industry and join a career field that features some very daring and skilled pilots that work overtime to protect people and property and save lives.

What are the roles and activities cadets can participate in within Emergency Services. What is Emergency Services and how do I get involved 

Overview of our return to the Moon with NASA images and description of the overall program. The rocket, launch and orbit, and return will be covered. Science to be done on the moon and establish of Moon Base included.

Service Academy representatives will review the application and nomination process. There will be adequate time for questions/answers. 

In this class you will learn how to become capable of quickly refuting, making solid arguments, appealing to audiences, and everything else that comes with formal debate. While many may not see the value of structured debate, everyone knows the value of arguments and especially winning. If you can hold your own in structured debate you can guard an argument informally. Furthermore, you can extend some of the skills in this class to influence change and inspire those around you.

Come join a fellow cadet involved in this hobby and learn about the basics of Civil War Re-Enacting and how to get involved. You’ll learn about everything from the gear you’ll need to the different drill movements.

This class will teach you how to watercolor different flowers. It will let your creative imagination flow with paper, water, and color!!

Aviation Navigation - learn how to read aviation maps and how to plan a flight using different navigation techniques including pilotage and dead reckoning. Cadets will have the opportunity to use maps and plotters to plan a flight.

This seminar will cover many of the things you can expect to learn more about as you progress through the Powered Orientation Flight Syllabus. We will discuss the importance of a thorough preflight inspection and following checklists, some of the main aerodynamic forces we face in flight, why we use variable speed propellers and how they work, and how lift is developed and how stalls happen.  

This class will show you how to paint landscapes and generally whatever you'd like with acrylic paint. And at the end you can show off your masterpiece if you'd like!

How can you fly an aircraft at an age where you aren't even eligible to get your student driver permit? Answer: Gliders! Have you ever wanted to know how to become a part of the wonderful world of gliders? If so, this class is for you! Two cadet graduates of a CAP National Glider Flight Academy (both from the same academy) will be teaching you exactly what gliding is, the basics of flying gliders, and how to start training in gliders (either at a flight club, privately, or through CAP). This class is intended for those who are interested in gliding, and do not yet know much information on gliding. Prepare for a fun glider-related activity, and a chance to ask questions and hear some incredible gliding stories from two glider pilots! There will be a glider simulator used as a visual aid, and, time allowing, you might just get a chance to fly this simulator! We hope that you'll join this class and learn how to fly on silent wings

This class will teach cadets how to prepare and teach a class.

It will cover preparing an outline and slides, and teaching itself.

Cadets will then learn to properly draw out formations.

This class will teach cadets how to make DIY stickers from parchment paper, regular paper, and tape. Cadets can draw a creation and make a sticker out of it and over all, learn something fun!

Airplanes and aircraft are designed to be in the sky: they are designed to sustain flight in a safe manner. But what happens when an airplane falls from the sky? What happens when something goes catastrophically wrong? How do we figure out what happened? How do we ensure that it never happens again? In this seminar, we will explore the methods by which investigators obtain evidence from air disasters and piece it together to figure out exactly what went wrong at 30,000 feet. We will also engage in a simulation where we will attempt to figure out the cause of a mock air accident using multiple different pieces of evidence.

It will cover the structure of CyberPatriot and some competition strategies.

Learn how to build a strong foundation for your photography practice by mastering the technical basic of the camera settings to bring your creative vision to life. This brief class will help you get out of auto mode and teach you how to bring your photography to the next level.

Aviation weather. Cadets will learn about how weather systems develop, the impact that weather can play in aviation, and the sources that pilots rely on to get weather information. We will then get a live weather briefing for a hypothetical flight and discuss how those conditions might impact our flight.

Are you interested becoming a ground team member for in search and rescue? Then this is the class for you. This class will cover many tasks that are needed for ground team 3, and you will learn how to search effectively.

You may be tasked to assist a K-9 team on a ground search. This class will explain how search dogs work and how your skills will assist them.

What lies beyond model rockets? Perhaps you wish to build something that can fly faster than the speed of sound, or reach up to the altitudes jets fly. It's possible with the hobby of High Power Rocketry. 

Have you ever wondered why aircraft such as the F-16 uses wings swept backward and not straight? Have you ever wondered why the B-2 Spirit Bomber looks like a flying wing? Do you want to know what a forward swept wing design is used for? This seminar will tell you all the great information, the advantages/disadvantages, and unique examples of each Aircraft wing design!

In a ground search, it is not uncommon to be unexpectedly stuck overnight or longer in the field. This class will familiarize you with the means to continue to operate with the items in a typical "24 hour pack".

In this class, cadets will discuss potential future Aerospace innovations.
