The #1 reason jails in the United States are involved in litigation remains due to sustained injuries from physical altercations. What if lawsuits surrounding physical altercations and conflict could be reduced? What if officers were more skilled to interact with mentally ill and suicidal inmates? What if supervisors could reduce turnover by effectively by reducing staff conflict through proven techniques?

The National Institute for Jail Operations (NIJO) Conflict Management Techniques training seminar provides real life examples and practice scenarios for attendees to work through as they gain knowledge on not only the causes of conflict, but the proven tactics that will effectively manage conflict within their facility. This hands-on training supersedes current de-escalation training with a far more intensive and practical application than anything else previously provided to corrections officials.
