Seminar II focuses on the essential relationships that sustain thriving research universities. Through interactive sessions and dialogue, participants will explore how leaders cultivate strong connections within the campus community and with external partners to advance institutional mission and impact.

Seminar Focus

• Recognize the experiences of all students within and beyond the classroom and identify strategies that best serve them
• Consider how to build relationships and support the success of faculty and staff to foster excellence in research, teaching, and service 
• Identify opportunities and challenges for leaders in research universities to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external constituents
• Review how universities build relationships with external constituencies, including through effective communication about the value and values of higher education, crisis management, and community partnerships
