PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is a one-day hybrid course that teaches healthcare professionals how to respond to emergencies involving infants and children. Developed by the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, it focuses on assessing and managing critically ill or injured children. Participants learn and practice essential emergency techniques such as intubation, bag-mask ventilation, intraosseous access, umbilical line insertion, and defibrillation. The course is designed for first-time attendees including doctors, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and others who care for pediatric patients.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Recognize infants and children at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest
Identify prevention strategies
Apply cognitive and hands-on skills to manage respiratory failure, shock, and arrest
Use airway and oxygen tools for effective ventilation and control
Distinguish cardiac rhythms and select appropriate treatments
Know key medications, their dosages, and cardiovascular effects
Execute advanced pediatric resuscitation and stabilization procedure
