The 2026 Iowa Science of Reading Summit will gather educators from across Iowa and surrounding states to expand their knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices and the science of reading. Discover the latest research, resources, and best practices in literacy instruction. Learn from leaders in literacy research, instruction, and advocacy. We hope that you can join us in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa for this 2-day event!
Who Should Attend?
This summit is for in-service, school-based personnel (teachers, paraprofessionals, school administrators, district administrators, and AEA staff members) striving to positively impact student literacy.

Schedule
A detailed and final schedule will be made available before the summit. Daily events are anticipated to begin at 8:00 a.m. and end around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
Price
The early bird, discounted registration fee is $350.00 and covers admission to the Iowa Science of Reading Summit, keynote address, featured speakers, breakout sessions, session materials (if applicable), continental breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, snack breaks both days of the event, and access to exhibitors. After March 31, the price increases to $400.00 per person. Lodging, travel, and parking are not included.
