Technology, A/V, and Adult Learning: What you see (and hear) is what you won’t forget!

Impacting the memory of the messages delivered through A/V

Presented by: Hope Wiggins, Regional Sales Director, PSAV® Presentation Services

Moderated by: Rebecca Wakefield, CMP, Manager-Events & Meetings, KPMG LLP

Earn CE Credits! This program has been pre-approved for 1 CE credit with the EIC. (More details below)

PSAV® Presentation Services partnered with BrainStrength Systems to compile recent neuroscience research findings on the affects audiovisual cues have on the adult learning brain.

Here’s how the research tells us to think about integrating AV into events, and how meeting professionals can put the science into action:

  • Sensory cues greatly enhance the learning process. 83% of human learning is driven by SIGHT cues, followed by sound, smell, and touch.
  • Technological and Scenic products to enhance adult learning
  • Why should we focus on adult learning behaviors
  • What senses impact learning
  • How the event space plays a key role in learning
  • Solutions that help delight the senses
  • New innovative ways to use A/V to stimulate the senses and aid the learning
  • Impact that lighting has on the attendee
  • The influence of colors: Specific colors elicit specific effects from the audience
  • Sound reinforcement: What they hear and how they hear it impacts the message being heard

During this riveting presentation, you’ll learn to think more about what your attendees see, hear and feel.

We’ll discuss visual impact, what to consider in order to create the right mood, how to integrate colors into the stage presentation and which colors to use elicit desired emotion from the audience, and the role the room and stage setup play to help reinforce the memory of the messages delivered to the audience.
