The North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NCOEMS) is pleased to announce the 2019 call for presentations for the 46th annual educational conference, NC EMS EXPO, to be held in Greensboro, North Carolina, September 27th to October 2nd.
This conference is one of the most widely recognized EMS educational conferences in the country, offering its attendees the opportunity to hear presentations from outstanding faculty from across North Carolina and the United States. The conference provides continuing education credit for topics of general interest and current advancements in the fields of Prehospital Emergency Care, Emergency and Trauma Medicine, and Disaster Preparedness.
The conference audience includes basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) personnel, emergency medical dispatchers (EMD), EMS professionals, EMS administrators, EMS educators, emergency medicine/trauma physicians/nurses, public health professionals, emergency managers, State Medical Assistance Team (SMAT) personnel, disaster planning coordinators, medical facility administrators, law enforcement officials, search and rescue responders, preparedness officials and others who play an essential role in critical incidents.
Presentations that address issues of interest across these target audience groups are strongly encouraged.

Proposals will be reviewed and selected by members of the conference planning team. All proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
The NC Office of EMS uses its conference as a platform for sharing innovative ideas for health care and promoting professional development.
The North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services applies for CME credits for its presentations. Therefore, presentation proposals that do not include all of the following information cannot be considered.

· All presenters/speakers must adhere to the “Call for Presentations Submission Timeline” outlined above. All faculty must submit a copy of their presentation and handouts for secure posting to the conference website by Monday, August 5, 2019.
· Conference faculty will receive complimentary conference registration, single day lodging at the conference hotel, and the state approved meal allowance for the day prior OR the day of the presentation.
· Any changes to the AV request or room set-up after Monday, August 5, 2019, will be at the cost of the faculty requesting the change.
