2020 COVA Advanced Academy

The purpose of the ADVANCED Academy is to provide training on advanced topics to professionals with 2 or more years of direct victim services experience. The training is appropriate for individuals working with crime victims in law enforcement, prosecutor’s offices, probation, corrections, and community based agencies (e.g. a domestic violence or sex assault victim services non-profit). This academy is limited to 25 people and preference will be given to applicants who are in a supervisory position.
COST
This training is $475, which includes a manual and all instructor materials. A limited number of scholarships of $100 toward tuition are available. You are responsible for your own travel, lodging, and meals.
DEADLINES
Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on January 28, 2020. You will be notified of acceptance no later than January 31, 2020. Payment is due by January 31, 2020. Registration fee refunds, less a $50 handling fee, are available if a cancellation notice is received by writing on Friday, February 7, 2020. No refunds will be available after February 7, 2020.
