Join us for an interactive experience for your team! Enhance your dental restorative skills in our Dental Shade-Matching Workshop.
Learn the fundamentals of color science, focusing on hue, value, and chroma. Discuss key factors affecting shade matching,
such as lighting conditions, color perception, and eye physiology. Review best practices for accurate shade selection.
This workshop equips dental professionals with essential techniques for achieving precise and aesthetically pleasing restorative outcomes.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
• Understand color dimensions (hue, value, chroma)
• Discuss factors that influence shade matching including light, color, color perception, and eye physiology
• Understand the difference between additive and subtractive color theory
• Review the literature regarding digitally obtained shades vs. analog
• Review best practices for obtaining a shade

About Leah Davis:
Leah Morris serves as the Chief Operations Officer at Dental Designs. Over her 19-year career, she began at the Lincoln location, first as a ceramist and then as an assistant manager in the Fixed Department. She then transitioned to the Omaha location to manage the Fixed Department. Following this role, she was promoted to COO. Throughout her entire career she has served as color and shade specialist for all lab locations, assisting in custom shades in lab and chairside. She has developed and implemented accredited training courses for technicians and clinicians covering color theory, shade communication, and shade troubleshooting. A lifelong artist of many mediums, helping patients get their smiles back has become her favorite artform over the years.
