Presented by Jeremy A. Edwards, DDS, ABOMS

Dr. Jeremy Edwards is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training in the recognition and management of medical emergencies in both office-based and hospital settings. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon and received the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award for excellence in surgery. Dr. Edwards completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, serving as chief resident. His training included anesthesia, trauma surgery, critical care, internal medicine, and emergency response, providing a strong foundation for the management of medically complex patients and unexpected clinical events. Drawing from both hospital-based training and daily clinical practice, Dr. Edwards provides practical, evidence-based guidance to help dental teams recognize, prepare for, and respond confidently to medical emergencies in the dental office.
