Pass the NCCCO A/D Director exam in three days. Both designations. One course.
This is a 2-day intensive prep course followed by NCCCO written exams on Day 3 — covering both the Mobile Crane and Tower Crane Assembly/Disassembly Director specialty exams. Taught at Colorado’s premier crane training facility by a veteran Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), this course is built for crane operators, riggers, lift directors, site supervisors, and operations managers who need the credential and need to pass the first time.
What you’ll learn:
• OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC — section by section, in plain English
• ASME B30.5 mobile crane standards and applicable B30 tower crane requirements
• A/D Director vs. Competent Person vs. Qualified Person — the role distinctions OSHA tests on
• Pre-assembly meeting requirements under §1926.1404
• Powerline clearances, fall zones, and excavation distances
• Component weights, centers of gravity, and load chart interpretation
• Multi-employer worksite citation policy and personal legal exposure
• Practice exam blocks mirroring the 45-question, 60-minute CCO format
Day 3 — Test Day: Sit for the CCO Mobile Crane and/or Tower Crane A/D Director Written Exams on-site. 45 questions, 60 minutes each, calculator permitted. Preliminary scores available immediately.
Eligibility: 18+ years old, compliant with CCO Substance Abuse Policy and Code of Ethics. No prior CCO certification required.
Certification term: 5 years.
